27/08/2024 – All four of the wagtail chicks have successfully fledged and left the nest, as have mum and dad. I’m sure they will be back next year as they have found their own ‘cosy cottage’ at Mill Pool Barn!

The wagtail family have 4 chicks in the nest located in the (interior glazed!) original ventilation hole, visible from the shower room.
Wagtail chicks are growing fast! must be all that good Cumbrian food 🙂
Feeding is a full-time job for mum and dad!
